Jamie MacDonald, Festival Director of the Aurora Winter Blues Festival presents a $11,600 cheque to Blue Door Shelters on behalf of the AWBF committee, sponsors, and supporters of the festival. The funds raised will directly support and positively impact our clients. Thank you to the numerous AWBF supporters that make this possible! We are so grateful for the community support and partnership!

Our Donors

We are immensely grateful to our donors and supporters for their thoughtful contributions.  Our donors come from all age groups, professions and sectors with a common goal to alleviate poverty in their communities.  Whether it is an effort by elementary school students who have organized a bake sale to raise funds, an in-kind donation to address basic needs, provision of services by a local business,  or a corporate donation that allows us to build infrastructure, we are extremely proud of each and every contribution we receive.  Every donation at any level matters and has an immediate impact on the lives of vulnerable youth, adults and families.

If you would like more information on ways to give, please contact Barb Latour, our Office Manager, at barb.latour@bluedoorshelters.ca or 905-898-1015 ext. 232.  Here are some ways you can donate to Blue Door Shelters and enable us to ensure safety and security for those we serve:

  • Financial donations that can be directed towards programs at our shelters.
  • Monthly giving that will provide a reliable funding source with minimal administrative effort.
  • In-Kind donations that would be meaningful at the time you wish to give.  Please discuss our current needs with Barb to ensure a good fit.
